Towards theorizing peer review

Abstract Academic peer review is seriously undertheorized because studies focus on discovering and confirming phenomena, such as biases, are much less concerned with explaining, predicting, or controlling phenomena a theoretical basis. In this paper, I therefore advocate for more theorizing in research review. first describe the main characteristics of literature, which focuses mainly journal grant Based these characteristics, then argue why theory useful review, present some efforts conclude by encouraging researchers to be theoretically engaged outline activities that work could involve.
